Top 2013 Competitors in Affordable Sedan

The sedan is an excellent choice for just about any car owner that requires a multi-purpose vehicle. The sedan is a four-door vehicle that provides a power unit in the front, and plenty of cargo carrying space in the rear. The best-selling sedans offer a couple of different features. The first group tends to offer stylish cars with features that include expensive looking elements. 


The second trend of cars is the more affordable group of sedans that are more efficient and offer stripped-down vehicles with all of the basics. Sedans that are coming out in 2013 and beyond are already also being influenced by fuel economy changes that give them more bang for the buck when it comes to fuel efficiency, making them great choices for commuters.

· Chevy Sonic – This vehicle, priced under $15,000 is considered a subcompact vehicle. You can choose from two different engines. These include a 1.8 liter four and 1.4 liter four. They each offer 137 horsepower and get about 29mpg in the city and 40 for the highway. That’s pretty good!

· Ford Fiesta – This sedan is among the best small yet peppy 1.6 liter engines that does a whopping 28 mpg in the city and gets 37 on the highway. It offers an automatic and a clutch, with a comfortable cabin offering a few amenities some other sedans might not including heated seats, voice control and iPod controls.

· Hyundai Accent – This car is much like a Sonata, offering 138 horsepower and 30mpg in the city, with a shopping 40 mpg on highway ravels. The Accent offers satellite radio and iPod connectivity.

· Mazda 3 – This is a bit more under $18,000, but still affordable at less than 20k. It offers 28 mpg in the city and 40 on the highway, with some higher end features, including a blind-spot alert system, bi-xenon headlights and programming.
