Different Car Types - Part II

In the previous article we cover some of the main types of vehicles available. Well, actually we cover only three of the main types: the sedan, the station wagon, and the sport utilities vehicle. It is interesting how each individual depending on its own likes and circumstances can choose one vehicle type over another. For instance, a mom may want to invest in buying a minivan, while a father may want a Sedan, or a station wagon.

In this article, we will take a look at a few more vehicle types available. Let's get started:

1) The next vehicle type that we will analyze is the hatchback. The hatchback has gained much popularity lately since they have several important features that are very versatile. For example, they feature space for passengers just like a sedan. But since they are smaller in size they also feature a more fun personality and better handling and driving dynamics.

2) The next vehicle type that we will talk about is the coupe. The coupe, in contrast to the sedan, does not feature a door for every seat. So basically, the coupe is like a sedan, in that it can offer more than two seats, but it is different in that it only has two doors. This makes the coupe look much more sportier. It is not common that coupes also feature more power options and luxury features to compliment the sportier looks. Thus, when buying a coupe, the price may be higher than buying a sedan.

3) A third type of car we will discuss is the convertible. Yes, those fun looking coupes that look amazing but are not so practical. In a convertible, the space in rear seats is usually much tighter. Convertible vehicles, just like regular coupes, usually feature more powerful engine options. Of course, the main advantage to convertibles is enjoying driving with the top down. Yet, if you live in a rainy area, this may not be the most economical and practical car to buy.

4) A fourth type of vehicle that we will discuss is the cross over. Crossover vehicles typically mix in features or body types of an SUV, station wagon, minivan, etc. The end result is a cross over vehicle.

Indeed, there seems to be vehicles for every type of need and taste. There are hundreds of vehicle models on the market belonging to the vehicle types we mention. Think of what you like best and what meets your needs and circumstances and make a choice. With the right amount of research and even actual testing, you will definitely find the best car for you.

Diffrent Car Types

There are dozens of different vehicle models in the market. These models fit into several types of cars, including sedans, compact cars, station wagons, hatchbacks, coupes, among other styles. Each one has unique features and is fit for a specific need. Here we seek to describe each of the main types of vehicles. Let's get started.

1) The first type we will talk about is the sedan. The sedan features three main parts. The front, the seat spaces, and the truck. This type of vehicle is relatively conservative and appeals to those who need to transport people, as it facilitates access inside. Furthermore, sedans also feature an easy to access and out of sight cargo area. This is an advantage, but it depends on the type of sedan used, as there are sedans that do not feature as much space as possible.

 2) Now the second type of vehicle is a station wagon. A bit more conservative in design than the sedan, the station wagon features even more cargo capacity. In fact, some station wagons have much more space than the regular sedan. In some station wagons it is possible to even fit a sheet of plywood with the seats down. Of course, with the seats up, a station wagon serves a similar purpose as a regular sedan.

3) The third type of vehicle we will discuss is the sport utility vehicle, also known as the SUV. SUVs feature tremendous cargo space. This was one of the main reasons for their popularity. In addition, some SUVs also feature AWD, all wheel drive, which helps when driving through rough road contidutions, including snow, mud, etc. Now, however, there is one main disadvantages to the SUV. Yes, you guessed it. They really pump up gas consumption. In fact, the recent economic recession clearly showed that many people driving SUVs were not really ready for the expense of paying extra gas.

Indeed, here we have analyzed just three of the main types of vehicles. We covered the sedan, the station wagon, and the sport utility vehicle. Each one of them with its own advantages and disadvantages. In a next article, we will continue to explore the different types of vehicles available.
