There are dozens of different vehicle models in the market. These models fit into several types of cars, including sedans, compact cars, station wagons, hatchbacks, coupes, among other styles. Each one has unique features and is fit for a specific need. Here we seek to describe each of the main types of vehicles. Let's get started.1) The first type we will talk about is the sedan. The sedan features three main parts. The front, the seat spaces, and the truck. This type of vehicle is relatively conservative and appeals to those who need to transport people, as it facilitates access inside. Furthermore, sedans also feature an easy to access and out of sight cargo area. This is an advantage, but it depends on the type of sedan used, as there are sedans that do not feature as much space as possible.
2) Now the second type of vehicle is a station wagon. A bit more conservative in design than the sedan, the station wagon features even more cargo capacity. In fact, some station wagons have much more space than the regular sedan. In some station wagons it is possible to even fit a sheet of plywood with the seats down. Of course, with the seats up, a station wagon serves a similar purpose as a regular sedan.
3) The third type of vehicle we will discuss is the sport utility vehicle, also known as the SUV. SUVs feature tremendous cargo space. This was one of the main reasons for their popularity. In addition, some SUVs also feature AWD, all wheel drive, which helps when driving through rough road contidutions, including snow, mud, etc. Now, however, there is one main disadvantages to the SUV. Yes, you guessed it. They really pump up gas consumption. In fact, the recent economic recession clearly showed that many people driving SUVs were not really ready for the expense of paying extra gas.
Indeed, here we have analyzed just three of the main types of vehicles. We covered the sedan, the station wagon, and the sport utility vehicle. Each one of them with its own advantages and disadvantages. In a next article, we will continue to explore the different types of vehicles available.
