Car Reviews: Top Affordable Small Cars

Getting a small car has many advantages, specially in the current conditions most people are living in. For instance, small cars get further on the road. Their smaller engines provide higher gas mileage on the highway and in the city. In addition, smaller cars are easier to maneuver. This is specially useful when trying to do a U-turn, travel down a one-way street, or parallel park. In an urban city, a small car can make your life much easier. Also, smaller cars are easier on the pocket. The reason for this is that manufacturing a small car takes less materials than manufacturing a larger car.

Now that we have gotten to some of the advantages of having a small car vs a larger car, let's analyze some of the most popular models on the market today:

1) One of the most popular small car models on the market this year is the 2013 Mazda Mazda3. The main distinguishing feature that separates the Mazda3 from other cars in this segment is its accurate handling. This is one of the reasons why the Mazda3 is known as one of the most fun to drive models in the market. Indeed, most drivers are very pleased with the Mazda3's performance and, in addition, with it's great fuel economy.

Reviewers also point out the Mazda3's stable ride, solid cabin, and fun-to drive character with agile handling and responsive engines.

2) A second popular small car model on the market is the 2013 Honda Fit. The Honday Fit offers ample passenger and cargo space. Reviewers mention that the ride, acceleration, and handling all receive great reviews. Yet, they also mention that the Honda Fit has an underpowered engine. The Honda Fit has a four-cylinder engine that doesn't feature much power but that does get an average of 25/35 mpg city/highway.

3) A third popular small car model on the market is the 2013 Ford Fiesta. This Ford creation features good driving dynamics and high tech interior features. Furthermore, it has very comfortable front seats, a smooth manual transmission, great handling, and offers great gas mileage with 29/39 mpg city/highway.

Overall, reviewers are very please with the Ford Fiesta, saying that is a well rounded subcompact, with a fun to drive personality, and a price that can't be beaten.

The Small Cars segment is full of options for all sorts of tastes.
